The Hawkes Bay Wine Country Duck can seat 34 passengers.

Leaves from the Information Centre on Marine Parade Napier 10.30am 1.30pm and 3pm daily.The Duck takes you on a Tour of Art Ducko Land and then drives into the sea heading to Port Ahuriri, and returns to the Information Centre. Tour takes 1 hour.

Charter Agreement
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. A deposit of 20% should be paid to Hawkes Bay Wine Country Marine Assets Ltd, and on receipt the charter booking will be confirmed. Payment of deposit can be either by way of credit card using our secure online payment facility or by cheque. Please make cheques payable to: Hawkes Bay Wine Country Marine Assets Ltd , PO Box 12116, Ahuriri, Napier 4110, and send with a printed copy of your online booking form.

2. The deposit is NON REFUNDABLE except under the following circumstances:

a) If Hawkes Bay Wine Country Marine Assets Ltd agrees in writing that a refund is to be made.

b) If Hawkes Bay Wine Country Marine Assets Ltd vessels become unfit for charter. (In the case of mechanical breakdown, a 24-hour period is extended to the company to perform an extended cruise charter.) Refund will be made on a pro-rata basis.

c) If the Charterer cancels a booking, and the vessel is re-booked for the same period of the original booking a complete refund of deposit will be paid. If rebooked only for a portion thereof, the deposit refund will be made on a pro-rata basis.

d) If the Charterer cancels this agreement twenty eight days in advance of the charter.

3. FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE AND SHOULD BE PAID TO THE SKIPPER/DRIVER, OR THE INFORMATION CENTRE UPON BOARDING. THIS MUST BE IN THE FORM OF TRAVELER'S CHEQUES, CREDIT CARD OR CASH.

4. Should the charter be for the purpose of viewing an event organized by any other group or company other than Hawkes Bay Wine Country Marine Assets Ltd and the event is cancelled for any reason, then the Charterer remains bound by this agreement.

5. The skipper shall be responsible for running of the vessel and for the safe navigation of the vessel, and the Charterer shall abide by his judgment as to sailing, weather, anchorage, and other pertinent maritime matters.

6. Should the vessel, during the period of this charter, be lost, stranded, or disabled by act of God, fire, perils of the sea, or other unavoidable accident rendering her unfit for the use or purpose of the charter and not brought about by act of Charterer, charter hire shall cease from the time thereof and neither of the parties shall be liable for loss, damage, expense, or inconvenience resulting there from.

7. The Charterer agrees to be responsible for and to replace or make good any damage to the vessel, her furnishings and equipment caused by Charterer, or by any of their party, except for ordinary wear and tear. The vessel shall be surrendered free of any indebtedness that may have been incurred for account of the Charterer.

8. The Charterer is responsible for any insurance cover that may be required in respect of personal injury, death or other damage that may occur during the course of the charter to the Charterer or any member of the charter party or to their property.

9. USE OR POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL DRUGS OR DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, INCLUDING MARIJUANA, ON BOARD THE VESSEL SHALL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF THE CHARTER WITH FORFEITURE OF ALL MONIES PAID.

10. No alcohol can be consumed during any charter.

11. No food can be consumed during any charter. Water bottles are acceptable.
